CARDINAL FLAME-TAIL – DRAGON SPECIMEN Nº 07
In the northern moors, there are old stories of a dragon whose scales were said to carry the colours of dawn. The Cardinal Flame-Tail was rarely seen, and those who encountered one spoke not of its size, but of its remarkable eyes; watchful, discerning, and strangely aware.
Unlike the creatures of legend, it was small enough to fit within a naturalist’s chamber. Yet it was said to possess an unusual memory, and an even more unusual capacity for attachment.
Specimen Nº 07 was recovered in its juvenile state and preserved for study. How it came to be found remains undocumented.
The chamber remains intact. The specimen remains remarkably well preserved. And somewhere beneath those crimson scales, something may still be remembering.
The Cardinal Flame-Tail is a fictional dragon specimen, designed and sculpted from scratch as a fantasy collectible inspired by Victorian natural-history specimens, curiosity cabinets, and eccentric scientific artifacts. This is a handmade fantasy sculpture – not a real preserved animal or biological specimen.

DISPLAY & WATER
The specimen is shipped without water to prevent leaks or damage during transit.
Once your specimen arrives safely, you may add pure/clean water to the acrylic chamber if you’d like to recreate the preserved-specimen look shown in the photos.
For long-term display, however, I recommend keeping the chamber dry. The dragon is a decorative fantasy sculpture rather than a sculpture designed for continuous water immersion, so water is best treated as an optional display effect rather than a permanent feature.
A LITTLE ABOUT THE SPECIMEN
Specimen Nº 07 — Cardinal Flame-Tail
Dracaena juvenis
The result is meant to look less like a conventional fantasy figurine and more like a strange scientific artifact you might have found in the private collection of a very eccentric Victorian naturalist.
The Cardinal Flame-Tail is a young and unusually observant dragon, distinguished by its deep crimson, purple, and gold scales – colors said to resemble the first light of dawn.
But there is considerably more to this little creature than its appearance.
Its temperament, behavior, anatomy, and peculiar abilities have been recorded in the accompanying specimen documentation. Some observations are still classified as unknown or unconfirmed.
